The Walt Disney Studios is known for their storytelling and so much more. Now, Disney is looking to combine their storytelling and the Disneyland theme park in a feature film.

Disney has had some great success with their live action films and adaptations over the past decade. And although there have been plenty of documentaries about Disneyland, fans haven’t seen anything quite like this, aside from 2013’s Saving Mr. Banks. In the film, about the inspiration behind Mary Poppins, Tom Hanks plays Walt Disney. We get to see glimpses and glimmers of what it took to make a feature film with the great Walt Disney and Disneyland is featured in the film. Yet, we haven’t seen a film depicting what it must have been like to bring Walt’s dream of Disneyland to reality.

According to Variety, now we will get that chance! Taking on the massive task of bringing the Happiest Place on Earth to a screen near you, is director David Gordon Green. Evan Spiliotopolous, will be in charge of adapting the screenplay. Spiliotopolous is no stranger to Disney, as he was the writer for the live action Beauty and the Beast.

At the moment there is no title for the film. However, we do know that this film will debut on Disney+ for now. This film is still in very early developments, so plenty could change along the way. But, we will keep you updated on the latest as it develops!
