
The “Awesomest Celebration of the Season’ kicked off at Universal Studios Hollywood on Friday, November 25, 2022 and will run daily through Sunday, January 1, 2023.
The Grinchmas Who-bilation, located at Universal Plaza inside Universal Studios Hollywood, features a 65 foot tall topsy-turvy tree with thousands of LED lights and a variety of ornaments.
The Grinch and his dog Max are available for photo opportunities throughout the day with Cindy-Lou Who leading daily story times with How The Grinch Stole Christmas. There is a line to meet the Grinch so it is recommended to get this done in the morning – before the lines get too long. By 3:30 pm, the line to meet the Grinch was 120 minutes.





Guests can enjoy a tree lighting ceremony every evening while The Grinch tells his story with the Who-ville Whos. The Wholiday Tree Lighting ceremony takes place five times a night: 5:30, 6:00, 6:30, 7:15 and 8 pm.
After story time, a snowball flurry marks the end of the magical evening.
Additionally, Who-ville post office accepts postcards with holiday messages.




After the sun sets, The Magic of Christmas at Hogwarts Castle comes to life, with a light projection set to music and sounds from the Harry Potter film franchise. The light projection is every thirty minutes, beginning at 6 pm.


Fan favorite Hot Butterbeer is back, as guests are able to savor the spirit of the holidays in Hogsmeade.
The holidays at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter also features a capella performance from the Hogwarts Frog Choir.


Guests can enjoy holiday themed food at Three Broomsticks and shop for holiday items including personalized ornaments and notebooks throughout Hogsmeade.
Shrek is also available for a photo op, with the character rocking a holiday themed sweater.

Even more holiday food and treats are available at Universal Studios Hollywood, including entrees, desserts and a variety of beverages.
The Holiday Menu for Universal Studios Hollywood features a delicious array of sweet and savory items, as well as non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages. The items will be available from November 25-January 1 at Universal Studios Hollywood.
The Grinch Popcorn Bucket ($24.99) and the Minion Popcorn Bucket ($28.99) is available throughout the park, as well as the Holiday Sipper. Popcorn is included with purchase. The Holiday Sipper costs $17.99 and can be refilled all day on the day of purchase at no additional charge.


Admission to the holiday festivities is included in the price of admission to the park. It runs daily from Friday, November 25, 2022 until Sunday, January 1, 2023.
Universal CityWalk also features holiday decor and a 40-foot tall Christmas tree with 200,000 LED lights.
Voodoo Doughnut at CityWalk also has seasonal flavors.




If the holiday show at Hogwarts starts at 6 does that mean that it doesn’t run during the week of the 4th since they close at 6 almost every day? Same with the tree lighting is there only one show at 5:30?
