Disney has just released brand new details regarding their new up and coming Genie+ service!

From what we knew already, the Genie system was supposed to come with your Disneyland Mobile and My Disney Experience Apps. But to upgrade to the Genie+ system with more amenities, that would cost a little extra. Overall, the service is meant to improve the Disney Guest experience and offer different itineraries to improve your Disney day.

Now, Guests have already started seeing the effects of the new system pop up all over Walt Disney World. Guests will gain access to new Lightning Lanes by purchasing admission a la carte or by purchasing the Genie+ for the day. This service will be available to over 40 attractions.

Prices for the individual selection will depend on day, attraction, and park. Prices could eventually lower or increase depending on busier days or holiday weeks, for example. This individual attraction option can be purchased up to 2 different attractions per day. For a list of all the attractions that will feature the Lightning Lanes at Walt Disney World, click HERE!

It’s important to keep in mind that traditional stand by queues will also still be available. Also, currently, there is no news of Disneyland changing any of their signage from FastPass lanes to Lightning Lanes, but the system will work the same for attractions that already have a standard stand by queue and FastPass queue.
