With Disneyland’s Magic Key dropping this week, some confusion still remains!
Earlier we reported that Disney had responded to a popular question regarding their new Magic Key annual pass system. Since then, more questions have arose regarding where and when.

Sneak Peek: Disneyland Responds to Guest Confusion Over New Magic Keys
So let’s break Disneyland’s Magic Key down even further.

Where?
At the time of release, Guests will able to purchase their Magic Keys via the Disneyland Mobile App or the Disneyland website.
Disneyland also states that, “We will not be selling Magic Key passes at the ticket booths at Disneyland Resort at this time”.

Which is true, to a point. Many future key holders took to their Disneyland app to ask about purchasing at the booths specifically. It seems that the consensus is that if you do have an outstanding ticket or credit that you wish to be put toward your Magic Key as a down payment, this can be done at the ticket booths. Now we won’t know how this will exactly play out until August 25, but it will be a good thing to look out for.
When?
Speaking of August 25, this is the official release date of the Disneyland Magic Key. However, it is not necessary for you to purchase on this day.

There are some special perks if you purchase your Magic Key within the first 66 days. Key holders will receive a special charter member welcome package sent to the address that is linked to your pass. This package will include a limited-edition pin, button, magnet, and more!
Also, if you happen to use your Magic Key and visit Disneyland from September 1 to October 31, 2021, Guests can enjoy a limited-time experience located at the Starcade in Tomorrowland!
