We’re back with another Dorky Dad foodie guide to get you ready for a weekend at Disney! Today, we are focusing on all the yummy options just steps outside of the parks. The Downtown Disney District has some of this dork’s favorite eats and drinks- so let’s make our way through the DTD!
Here in Southern California, the fall doesn’t really feel like fall until mid to late October. If you’re looking to beat the heat and want something quick, you need to visit Black Tap’s to-go window.

The CrazyShake pick up window is something not to be missed. And if you need something to satisfy your sweet tooth, this is the right place. The even have seasonal shakes for the holidays too!

Another great wait to bear the heat is with a classic Margarita from Tortilla Jo’s. They have a great menu with a lot of authentic Mexican cuisine options. Their chips and table side guacamole are delicious as well.

One of Eric’s favorite spots is Naples Ristorante e Bar. You can’t go wrong with a classic wood-fired authentic pizza. And their cocktail flights are definitely worth the visit. They have a sangria flight, a mule flight, and a premium IPA flight.

Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen is always a great spot to get some great, classic New Orleans cuisine. It just always seems to come alive at night, but not to worry, they have lunch options too. And you can’t leave here without some beignets! You can also get them from the express location and pair them with a Mint Julep! Yum!

Eric’s top favorite is the Catal Restaurant & UVA Bar. The food is great and even the drinks are better. Both have different menu options when it comes to eats. But the cocktail menus are similar. What Eric loves most is their brunch menu! Everything he’s tried on the brunch menu has been great so far, so he recommends everything! And you can’t go wrong with their mimosa flight!

Also, the Catal Restaurant will be welcoming back Breakfast with Santa. From November 27 to December 24, 2021, guests can make a reservation to have a family style breakfast with the jolly man himself. For more information and to make a reservation, click HERE!

For more quick service options, don’t forget to stop by Marceline’s Confectionery for a sweet treat. You can also swing by Wetzel’s Pretzels for a sweet or savory snack on the go- but, don’t forget that deliciously refreshing lemonade!
The next time you’re at the Downtown Disney District, make sure you try one or more of these delicious spots!
