It’s a great time for Star Wars fans heading to Disneyland Resort! Especially for those attending the Disneyland After Dark: Star Wars Nite event! We went to the first event night of 2024 and had a blast.
Set for the evenings of April 16, April 18, April 23, April 25, and April 30 as well as May 2, May 7, and May 9, the special event encompasses the weeks around Star Wars Day, on May the 4th, with a private party inside Disneyland from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. each night. The adventure begins at Disneyland Park with mix-in starting at 6 p.m., and no theme park reservation required.

The first agenda item we embarked upon was finding all the Star Wars characters! Take on the Trade Federation in a meeting with Queen Amidala from Star Wars: The Phantom Menace or study the philosophy of the Force with Ahsoka Tano, Anakin Skywalker’s former Padawan from Ahsoka.

Galactic encounters abound throughout the park where you can cross paths with Ewoks in Critter Country, BB-8 rolling through Frontierland, Darth Maul, Darth Vader, and Emperor Palpatine in Tomorrowland, and a host of other denizens in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge including Hera Syndulla, Chopper, the Mandalorian and Grogu, and more!

A particular favorite of ours was catching the Cantina Band in Frontierland!

Guests could also join the Resistance at a Lightsaber Meet-up with Rey and watch out for the March of the First Order, led by Captain Phasma and her stormtroopers.

Guests can dance along at the Galactic Dance Party with a Master DJ on Main Street, U.S.A.

Also, park is lit up in “Star Wars” decor with special projections on Main Street, U.S.A., Sleeping Beauty Castle and the façade of “it’s a small world.”

You can dress as your favorite “Star Wars” character, meet characters and get your photo taken in front of themed backdrops to show off your creative talents.
There’s also a wide variety of galactic food items both sweet and savory!

We tried the Blue Noodle Salad, Creamy Pea Pasta, and Wookie Whoopie Pie.
All three are phenomenal!

There’s over twenty new, yummy treats available only during Star Wars Nites, including:
- Street-style Elote Burger at Hungry Bear Restaurant
- Pork Belly Sisig-inspired Loaded Fries at Red Rose Taverne
- Pineapple and Ube Crescent Sundae at The Tropical Hideaway
- Chocolate Funnel Cake at Stage Door Café
- Crab Fritters at Royal Street Veranda
- Specialty menu items will also be available at Cafe Orleans, subject to availability.

Your admission also includes souvenir keepsakes such as a Star Wars Nite credential and event guide map, plus unlimited digital downloads of Disney PhotoPass photos taken throughout the event.

There’s also a good mix of exclusive event merchandise available.

We personally loved the hoodies and pins!

We highly recommend visiting Star Wars Nite at Disneyland and look forward to returning!
