Disney is almost done with the final touches on EPCOT’s all-new “Journey of Water” attraction inspired by Moana. Today, we got a sneak peek at the new exhibit during a special preview opportunity.

The new walkthrough attraction will be Disney Parks first experience evoking the hit 2016 Walt Disney Animation Studios film “Moana.” The lush exploration trail will invite guests to meet and play with magical, living water. Water will play a critical role in the experience – interacting with guests around every turn.

Guests will learn about the cycle of water as it travels around the natural world from the sky to raindrops, streams and even our oceans. Disney hopes the experience will teach guests about how to conserve natural resources and protect waterways around the globe.

One of the standout pieces inside the attraction includes a beautifully designed 16-ft tall figure of Te Fiti.

“Journey of Water, inspired by Moana” is located in the newly-created World Nature section of EPCOT, which also includes the attractions Living with the Land, Soarin’ and The Seas with Nemo & Friends.

Disney has reminded us that “Journey of Water” is scheduled to open in late Fall 2023. Currently, cast members and select media have been invited into the attraction, and previews for additional guests should open soon.
