Construction Progress of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure

They’re making significant progress in changing the landscape of Frontierland at Magic Kingdom! We can see the construction crew working on changing the exterior of the former Splash Mountain attraction.

Splash Mountain permanently closed on January 23rd this year and Disney is replacing it with an attraction based on the Princess and the Frog.

In Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, you’ll join Princess Tiana and jazz-loving alligator Louis during Mardi Gras season as they prepare to host a one-of-a-kind celebration for the people of New Orleans.

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will take you on a journey inspired by the story and characters from the hit film, picking up where that story left off.

The new ride will open in 2024 at Walt Disney World. In the meantime, you can see what the current progress looks like outside of the attraction in our photos below.
