Disney has confirmed the attraction Indiana Jones Adventure at Disneyland will be temporarily closed from January 9, 2023 until spring 2023 for refurbishments.

The beloved ride inside Adventureland debuted on March 3, 1995 as Temple of the Forbidden Eye, opening up for the general public the following day.

The attraction is set in 1935, in the Lost Delta of India, in collaboration with Disney and Lucasfilm.

Groundbreaking for the attraction began in August 2023 with 400 Imagineers on the project.

The ride was previously closed for refurbishment from September 4, 2012 until December December 7, 2012.

In November 2019, Disney announced there would be a $300,000 refurbishment for early 2020.

The latest refurbishment will close the ride from January 9, 2023 until spring 2023; Disney did not give an exact date for the re-opening of the ride.
