Disneyland Resort’s Candlelight Processional and Ceremony stage 2022

On December 20, 1958, a tradition at Disneyland Park began and it continues to this day. This happens at both the Disneyland Resort and at Epcot in Walt Disney World. Now on its 64th year, the Candlelight Ceremony and Processional is a Disney Parks holiday staple. Celebrity narrators join choirs from local groups and also joined by Disney Cast Members to celebrate the Christmas Story.

EPCOT at Walt Disney World had their first Candlelight Ceremony with Simu Liu narrating for the first and second evening of this year’s Candlelight Ceremony and Processional. At EPCOT, the ceremony is held several times during the Holiday Season.

Disneyland’s ceremony is a more intimate event. The seating area is mostly for invited guests, Club 33 members and other VIP guests. The general public will have a chance to watch and experience it at designated areas.

Disneyland Resort will have it’s Candlelight Ceremony and Processional for this year’s Holiday Season on December 3 and 4, and will happen at 530PM and 645PM on both nights. The celebrity narrator has yet to be announced. Peaople usually find out on the day of the ceremony – during mic check.

Last year, Sterling K. Brown took on the mantle as the celebrity narrator. He did a magnificent job narrating the Christmas Story.
