Coming soon is a new “cheaper” version of Disney+ that will include ads, much like other streaming platforms already do, to give users more options when choosing their price point and plans. While here in the US we should see this new plan option some time this year, international consumers will not see plan changes until 2023.

Along with this new plan option coming soon it was announced that the Netflix Marvel tv series, Daredevil, IronFist, The Defenders, The Punisher, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and the ABC series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will be available for Disney+ subscribers starting on March 16th. With the transition of these shows Disney has added a new feature to the parental controls by including the TV-MA setting. If you’ve never seen the Netflix series, in my opinion, they are quite violent and contain dark content; I would recommend watching an episode or two before allowing your younger children to watch.

I am definitely excited that these shows are now available in one space with all the Marvel movies, just waiting to see if they become canon like the Disney+ produced shows Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki, and Hawkeye.

Let me know in the comments below if you think the Netflix and ABC series are canon or not. What are your thoughts on the new “with ads” option being added?
