The Disneyland Resort has been officially reopened for months now and has been successful in doing so. Although not every experience has returned after the grand reopening, until now! Disneyland will soon be adding more dining experiences that have been missed. And, yes, this includes character dining!
Disney Princess Breakfast Adventures-
This dining experience is a fan favorite for anyone who wants to start their day off right and feeling like royalty. The Grand Californian Hotel’s Napa Rose will once again be offering their Disney Princess Breakfast Adventures!
Not only does this dining experience offer a fantastic breakfast selection, it also offers princess-themed activities and a keepsake souvenir to take home! Before you dine, Disney Princesses will invite you for a special photo opportunity on a private patio.
This select dining experience has a great breakfast menu and even a lunch menu. Guests can choose from items like princess waffles to house-made mac n’ cheese and lots more in between. And to finish off your royal meal, princess cake pops and other delightful desserts will be available.
Booking for this magical dining experience begins on August 11, and Disney Princess Breakfast Adventures will make it’s royal debut at Napa Rose beginning August 26.
Minnie & Friends- Breakfast in the Park-
Another Disney fan favorite will also be returning to Disneyland, and that is Minnie & Friends- Breakfast in the Park. Upon the park’s reopening, this crowd favorite was noticeably missing, as were a lot of breakfast options. Also noticeably missing was the lack of character dining, until now.
Join Minnie and some of her famous Disney friends at the Plaza Inn while you enjoy some classic breakfast favorites. Guests can enjoy Mickey waffles, along with biscuits and gravy, made-to-order omelets, a selection of hot and cold cereals, and a selection of delicious pastries.
Even though character dining is returning to the Disneyland Resort, it might look a little different. Characters will be around to wave and snap a quick photo, but they probably won’t linger for too long. Make sure you check out Disneyland’s helpful “Know Before You Go” guide when it comes to dining.
Minnie & Friends- Breakfast in the Park at the Plaza Inn will reopen on August 12, with booking beginning August 11.
Goofy’s Kitchen-
This Disneyland Hotel staple is ready for reopening! Unfortunately, for this dining location, Goofy and his friends won’t be making an appearance until a later date.
However, Guests can still enjoy this location’s great breakfast and dinner buffet menu! With all you can eat Mickey waffles, a carving station, and a variety of delicious desserts, you can’t go wrong.
Goofy’s Kitchen at the Disneyland Hotel will reopen on August 18. Booking for this location will be available on August 11.
Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar-
Another Disneyland Hotel favorites, Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar is a great dining location for any adventurer’s taste buds. The Tiki Bar will now be taking reservations for lunch and for dinner starting August 11. The first reservation date available will be August 15. Aloha!
Carnation Café-
This Disneyland classic will finally be reopening on September 16! This dining spot is home to Walt’s favorite chili, the famous fried pickles, and some delectable milkshakes! You definitely don’t want to miss this reopening. The Carnation Café is located on Main Street, U.S.A at Disneyland and they are open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Storytellers Café-
This location is not reopening, only because it just had it’s grand reopening in July of 2021. At this café, Guests can enjoy Mickey’s Tales of Adventure Breakfast Buffet. Not only is the buffet selection incredible here, you might run into some familiar faces. Mickey and his friends make their appearance during this breakfast buffet and even during their brunch buffet, which is equally incredible!
It’s not wonder that the Disneyland is following suite with other modified character dining locations, due to the success of Storytellers at the Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. This gives us hope for more character experiences dining and other in the future!
One More Thing
An important thing to keep in mind while dining or planning to dine at Disneyland, is to make sure you have the latest updates of the Disneyland Mobile App downloaded to your smart device. This will be the easiest way to book a dining reservation or to mobile order your favorite snacks or dishes.
