Dorkyparksdad: Parking information and purchase available via Disneyland website

Another change has taken place with the resort’s theme park parking. All day parking will now be $30. Parking vouchers can still be purchased ahead of time using the Disneyland website. This price will be reflected at the Mickey and Friends Parking Structure, Pixar Pals Parking Structure, and the Toy Story Parking Lot.

Dorkyparksdad: Tier 5 ticket prices through December 2021

Lastly, changes have also been made when it comes to Disneyland Resort theme park tickets. Some of the tier pricing for different tiered tickets have increased and the resort has also added a 6th tier. Here’s a breakdown of the tiered prices for a 1 park 1 day ticket:

  • Tier 1 ticket- $109 (no increase)

The Magic Key Lounge debuted Mickey and Minnie in their new 2021 Christmas outfits. They appear in the lounge on certain days and times which gives Magic Key Holders the opportunity to take pictures with them.

Disneyland’s newest holiday shoppe, the Plaza Point is officially open! This shoppe was announced weeks ago and the park has been hard at work to transform what used to be a photo retail store into a holiday wonderland.

Dorkyparksdad: Christmas ornaments and more

The Plaza Point will feature not just Christmas novelty items, but will also showcase holidays celebrated around the world. And just as the parks change seasonally throughout the year, so will this retail locale.

Lovepop is a greeting card company that sells amazing 3D cards to celebrate special occasions like Birthdays, Anniversaries, Milestones, Valentine, Christmas and even Halloween to name a few. They have a lot of designs that will cater to any Disney fan. They opened a shop inside the Marketplace Co-op Store in Disney Springs back in 2018 and had their own location in Disney Springs in 2020. I was able to visit their store in Disney Springs earlier this month and picked up a few cards.

They also have 3D Bouquets that really looks amazing.

Just this August, they announced that they were opening their new store in Downtown Disney. This marks their 6th new retail opening in the US since the beginning of 2020. Today, we found a Lovepop wall, right beside the Disney Home Store, to make where the store will be opening. There is still no announcement on when they will open their doors but I assume it’s pretty soon since Christmas is just around the corner.

I, for one, really love their innovative desgins. They promote so much brightness, positivity and love in their designs. Below is a few more designs they are offering.

One of the hardest, if not the hardest, places to get a dining reservation to is Blue Bayou. You will need a park ticket and park reservation for Disneyland in order to dine here, The restaurant is open for lunch from 11AM to 3:55PM and for dinner from 4PM to 9PM everyday. It’s located at New Orleans Square in Disneyland. I have been trying for weeks to get a reservation for my visit. I decided to try a walk up and it’s as difficult as snagging a reservation online. The cast member told me that they were full at the moment but I am more than welcome to come back and try again. Challenge accepted were the words that came to mind, I was determined to get my Hurricane that day. . I came back after 20 minutes and group (a couple) front of me were able to get a walk up. I wasn’t so lucky when it became my turn, the tables allotted for walk up closed again. I tried several times every 20-30 minutes until I finally got a, “yes, we can seat you now.”, from a cast member. A lot of places in Disneyland requires a lot of patience in order to get a table through walk up. Although, it’s not always guaranteed but at least it’s an option in case you couldn’t get a reservation online.

dorkyparksdad: Blue Bayou entrance

Once I got seated, I scanned the QR code that’s printed on the coaster to view the menu. I went through the menu, but I already knew what I was getting. I was starving. I got a Hurricane, a Coke, a Chicken Gumbo, and a Petite Filet and Cold Water Lobster Tail. I also ordered a coffee and an 8-Layer Chocolate and Hazelnut Cake for dessert.

I got my Hurricane Cocktail ($16) and coke right away. The Hurricane is made of Bacardi Reserve Ocho Rum, Myer’s Original Dark Rum, Simply Orange Juice, Passion Fruit Puree, Grenadine and Lime Juice, Luxardo Maraschino Cherry and Orange garnish. It’s an amazing drink and I got 2 of those during this visit. It’s probably my favorite cocktail within the Disneyland Resort.

dorkyparksdad: Hurricane Cocktail

The Chicken Gumbo ($7) which consists of Chicken, Andouille Sausage, Tomatoes, Okra, Jasmine Rice and Green Onions. It was creamy and delicious. I don’t particularly like Okra, but this made me make an exception. The ingredients complemented each other really well.

dorkyparksdad: Chicken Gumbo

On to the main course – Petite Filet and Cold Water Lobster Tail ($56)! This isn’t my first time ordering this item. It’s been the only thing I order whenever I go. The Filet melts in your mouth and it’s always cooked perfectly. The lobster is sweet and the butter makes it more tasty. The sides complements the meal. If you have to try anything from the menu, this is what I highly recommend.

dorkyparksdad: Petit Filet and Cold Water Lobster Tail

Lastly, for dessert, I ordered the 8-Layer Chocolate and Hazelnut cake with Chantilly Cream and Macaron ($10). I usually get the Vanilla-Bourbon Creme Brulee but I’m glad I opted for this cake instead, The chocolate and hazelnut were a perfect combo, I felt like I had a taste of heaven.

dorkyparksdad: 8-Layer Chocolate and Hazelnut Cake

All in all, the food was amazing as always. I do hope they come back with the Fantasmic Dining Package when Fantasmic returns (crossing my fingers). I always get that package when the family and I come to visit. It’s a 3 course prix fixe meal which includes a spot at the reserved viewing area for Fantasmic. I think it was around $65-$75 pre pandemic.

At the new Avengers Campus, you can run into Agatha Harkness at Doctor Strange’s Ancient Sanctum. But thanks to the Disney Parks Tik Tok, we have learned that a new villain will be making its way to the Avengers Campus.

Zombie Captain American comes to us via the new Disney+ hit show, What If…?. The streaming service describes this episode as follows:

Sneak Peek: DISNEYLAND’S OOGIE BOOGIE BASH RETURNS AND IT WAS AMAZING!

When the Avengers are infected by a a zombie plague, surviving heroes search for a cure.

And although only Zombie Captain America is depicted in this Tik Tok, it also alludes to possibly more villains coming to the Oogie Boogie Bash. There are only 8 nights left of this Halloween Party left, so it will be interesting to see what other villains are added. We will just have to wait over the next couple of weeks to see!
