Walt Disney World Unveils New Annual Pass Program: Here’s What You Need to Know

It’s been a week since California’s a Disneyland Resort released their new Magic Key annual pass program. Now, Florida’s Walt Disney World Resort is following suite.

When?

As Walt Disney World continues to prepare for their big 50th anniversary, they made sure to make their annual passes available before then. Annual passes will become available starting September 8, 2021.

What?

As in what different pass options will be available? Here’s the breakdown that Disney has provided.

It seems to be very similar to the Disneyland Resort’s Magic Key system, when it comes to the amount of park reservations certain passes can hold.

Is this new Passholder system worth it?

First, what makes this new system unique is the fact that it is completely customizable. Guests can add on Disney PhotoPass downloads, access to the Disney Water parks, and different sport options.

There are also some Passholder perks. There will be special discounts on merchandise and dining. Also, during the 50 anniversary celebration, there will be exclusive perks just for Passholders! These exclusive perks haven’t been announced yet, but we will keep you updated on the latest.

And make sure you’re on the lookout for “bonus reservations”! Annual Passholders can look forward to seeing and booking these random reservations without effecting their current reservation holds! This is just for Passholders and makes it so worth it for us!

Other Important Information

If you are a current Walt Disney World Passholder, you can still use your pass for now. At the time of renewal, you can renew into one of the four new passes for a special price.

Also, on release date of the new passes (September 8), Silver, Gold, Platinum and Platinum Plus Passholders will have to ability to hold more reservations at a time.

That’s not all! New Passholders will have to opportunity to redeem and all new exclusive AP magnet!
