Just a couple of days have passed since we were given our annual passes back, and now all is right in the world. Magic Key passholders have been flocking to the parks, picking up last-minute park reservations, and heading to Disneyland.
Because of the influx of guests attending the parks, Disney has introduced the touchless security scanners they debuted at Walt Disney World earlier this year. Back in October 2020 Disneyland tested the scanners and it appears they have decided that they work effectively to allow guests to move quickly through the security check-point.
The scanners allow guests to move one at a time through security without having to stop and have their bags searched. Items such as umbrellas or large metal items need to be removed from the bag as you walk through or you may be brought to the side to be searched.
